On March 20th, CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia hosted Thursday Night Social: Industry Night Happy Hour, a vibrant celebration honoring the bartenders, chefs, servers, and behind-the-scenes workers who shape Philadelphia’s hospitality landscape.
This event was thoughtfully organized and curated by Nana Apatu as the culminating project of her six-month tenure with the CultureWorks team. Drawing from her background in hospitality and creative community-building, Nana created a joyful and intentional space for connection, recognition, and artistic expression.
The evening featured tabling and engagement from community-centered organizations including Cooks Who Care, Healthy Minds Philly, and Sook Vinyl, along with pop-up experiences and wellness resources. The event was supported by in-kind donations from Banhez Mezcal and Philadelphia Distilling. Pastries and curated beverages were provided by Chef Nikki, and Nana herself.
