When: Saturday, December 1, 12-5PM
What: 20 women and/or gender non-conforming artists will create a pop-up exhibition and boutique experience throughout CultureWorks. The market will feature work from both emerging and established artists as well as art demos and make + take workshops. So, come out, support local artists, and get some of that holiday shopping done!
Four residency fellows were selected to install work to create environments in the breakout rooms at CultureWorks Greater Philadelphia, located in the historic Philadelphia Building.
The WCA Philadelphia 2018 resident artists are:
- Sarah Beckett Thrower-fiber/glass
- Constance McBride-sculpture
- Jeni Williamson-metals/jewelry
- Marcie Ziskind-textiles
The juried craft show features work from A Toy Named Sue, Rachael Amber, Ylvia Asal, Christina Bradley, Maria Chaney, Gloria Cherny, Erika Chubeck, Lynn Congo, Amanda Eodriguez, Reyna Howkins, Julie Martini, Selene Nuñez Cruz, Iffat Pugh, Gail Scuderi, Chelsea Shellenbarger, and Valerie Stillman.
Crafters will create a pop up exhibition and boutique experience including a special raffle benefitting EMIR Healing Center, a Philadelphia non-profit that works directly with families who have lost homicide victims and provides advocacy and outreach. http://emirphilly.org.
